Say Hello To My Little Friends
These are my dogs. They are my buddies, my best friends, my troublemakers and mess makers. I took this photo while trying out a new portable softbox. As I was editing the photo, I kept thinking how much each of their personalities was showing in the photo. Because of that, I really like this photo.
The big guy on the left is Bitzer. The little ornery looking girl peeking out in the middle is Sheila. The calm, humble looking, chubby girl on the right is Linux.
Bitzer is big brother. He showed up outside near our porch one day on the verge of dying. He wasn’t moving much and looked pretty sick. We took him to the vet and got him all fixed up. We adopted Linux from an animal shelter. She was found in a box in the parking lot of a Walmart, abandoned with a couple of her brothers. Sheila was given to us by a friend who knew we liked animals and thought we needed another puppy.
Bitzer and Sheila are Blue Heelers. They are both very smart. Sheila is a bundle of energy. She constantly bounces off the walls… literally. She’s a bouncing, jumping, flying machine. Linux is the big sister. She is pretty mellow most of the time, but she won’t hesitate to put the heelers in line. She is very vocal and loud when she gets on to them. It’s kind of funny. But they listen.
They are all indoor dogs unless they are outside playing or going to the bathroom. At bedtime, Bitzer and Linux start out in the bed at our feet and Bitzer will hop down when he’s ready to go to sleep. He lays along the side of the bed and sticks his head under the bed. Linux usually sleeps at our feet and occasionally will scoot up to cuddle a little bit. She loves to cuddle and be loved on. Sheila is up and down and up and down and won’t hardly be still. When she does be still for a few minutes, she curls up right next to either me or my wife. Then she’s up and down and around and around again. She’s getting better though. Maybe I’ll get a good nights sleep soon.
That’s our dogs. We love them all.

The cutest kiddos! We have a heeler as well. They are wonderful. His name is Sammy but he goes by a dozen or more nicknames.
Hi Courtnie! Thanks for stopping by. I agree… they are wonderful! We just rescued another one so now we have 4 heelers! She was malnourished and being abused by 2 other dogs. We took her to our vet last Friday and he said that she will be ok in a few weeks.
She got her shots, flea & tick medicine, and lab work. We received a call this morning letting us know that the lab results were good. She has parasites, but that’s typical. The medicine will take care of that.
She is eating and drinking and looking better already. She wants to play with our other dogs but she is still a little weak. I will post some pictures of her soon. Her name is Vegas.
Tell Sammy we said Hi! =]
